Hi Aron,
I am having no luck producing perfectly centered (or close enough) recast navmeshes. The attached pic shows an example along with the recast settings. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Ok thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
Hi
That is because the whole world is rasterized into voxels in order to calculate the graph. The exactness depends on the resolution of the rasterization. So basically, the more you reduce the “Cell Size” field, the more exact it will become. Usually it is not a problem if the edges are not exactly equidistant from the walls. If you really want it exact, you can use a navmesh graph and model the navmesh manually (or just fix up the recast generated one using the “Export to .obj File” button).
How do you define “centered”?
I mean that the resulting navmesh edges are not equidistant from the walls. It always appears to be slightly skewed up and to the right. For instance, if you look at any room or hallway, the navmesh is not centered.
