I have trouble trying to link 2 grid graphs, as my map has some height differences. The 2 grid graphs are on the same height and overlapping over 3 nodes, but it seems that the walking area is not being extended. Is there something, so I can connect these graphs?

I would strongly recommend using the layered grid graph instead.
It is possible to link individual nodes using the NodeLink2 component, but it will be tedious. The layered grid graph is designed to handle multi-layered environments out of the box.
