How to have a constant speed in the agent? I’m doing a 2D game, and the agent moves slowly when reaching a destination even when setting Slowdown time to ZERO it doesnt go from maxSpeed to zero, instead it decreases when getting close to some obstacle.
Try changing your position smoothing to 0. Double checked on my end and I was able to get them to move at a constant speed with that. Curiously I did mimic your settings but didn’t get the same movement you were getting. If you continue to have issues with it after setting your position smoothing let me know. If you can provide a slice of this project that would be helpful as well.
Can you try this on a flat graph with no obstacles/buildings and see what happens then?
EDIT: Yeah just tried your exact movement code with your same agent settings, including local avoidance settings but I’m not seeing the slippy-slidey motion on my end.
It doesn’t happen without obstacles, it just happens with local avoidance turned on and approaching an obstacle.
I will try reproduce it in a standalone scene. Could you share your test project so I can compare with mine? Also any suggestions on what could be the problem?
You’ll have to remove some namespaces/attributes (not a lot) unless you have Odin Inspector in which case you’ll just need to import it. You should only get errors from Odin, Astar, and ALINE
