Best Practices for Handling Mass Close-Combat

I’ve been experimenting with various setups for handling mass close-combat scenarios, particularly focusing on the RVO. However, I’m encountering a few challenges and would like to get some insights from the community.

When RVO is disabled, my units tend to stack up inside each other, which is expected, but not ideal. On the other hand, when RVO is enabled, they struggle to reach their assigned positions because they can’t move through their allies, leading to chaotic movements and inefficient combat interactions.

I tried toggling RVO on and off as units engage in combat, but this hasn’t yielded the smooth behavior I’m aiming for.

Can anyone share their experiences or strategies that might help steer me in a better direction? Any advice on achieving more organized and realistic unit movements in close-combat situations would be greatly appreciated!
