Recast Navmesh scaling

I’m having a lot of problems scaling Recast Navmeshes. Im finding it incredibly hard to see the actual scan area and also be able to adjust it. Ive watched the video but my (current) version of unity just doesn’t act the same.

I create an empty object on a 2d plane and add the pathfinder component to the object. I select recast graph and then select the scale tool or the rect tool to adjust the size of the navmesh before scanning. I select gizmos and also select scene/wireframe.

A white box appears but it doesn’t adjust if I try to scale it using the transform scale number entry or the scale tools via the icons at the top. I can’t see any other settings for scaling any other way to scale the actual area to scan.

What am I missing?

There are settings for the scan size in the recast graph settings in the inspector.

Thank you. I was expecting a grid to appear. Its just the white box that resizes with the settings as you describe. Thanks.
