Hi there, I have the package working in unity 2023.2.5 as a scoped registery just fine.
However when updating the project to unity 6 I’m getting an error.
[Package Manager Window] Error searching for packages.
Unknown error!
UnityEditor.EditorApplication:Internal_CallUpdateFunctions ()
I’ve done a bunch of trouble shooting, reloging into unity hub. restarting the pc.
I have another scoped registery that is showing up fine, VContainer.
I’m not unconvinced that this is a pc setup issue. But I’ve checked the firewall and such and it seems alright.
~ Thanks
This leads me to possibly thinking it may be better taken up with Unity Support sadly- not to just pass you off to them or anything. If you do start a ticket with them, definitely post the issue link here and keep us posted. If it ends up the Unknown error is coming from our end we’ll try and see what’s up
Or if you have any other supporting information, feel free to pass it here as well
Alrighty, soooo I took some time to further debug.
I have the scoped registry working in unity 6.
I made a clone on the drive where my os is. (C Drive)
That seems to have solved the issue.
I’m going to go into my exact issue just to help the seo of anyone else who may have this issue.(While troubleshooting today I was lead back here (Oh!, this looks like my issue, Ah dang))
- I had the project working on an older version of unity.
- m.2 with os dies so I make a new install of windows. (not the drive the projects are on)
- I decide I might as well update to win11 for the superior window snapping.
- I don’t have a TPM but I find a way.
- Also update to unity 6.
- And the above issue occurs.
When I got my pc up and running again my projects drive was just there, I’m not sure if I need to further tell windows about it?
And it is a little odd that its a combo of this scoped registry on that drive on the later versions of unity only. if anyone has any ideas there let me know but this is getting a bit of topic.
