4.2.19 vs 4.3.61

I am using Beta 4.3.61

I was told ? this is the LATEST beta I can possibly install on Unity 2021.3.33f1 because if i go any higher it wants to use things that are only available in Unity 2022 and above…

  1. is that correct?

  2. Is upgrading (or downgrading) to 4.2.19 better than being on 4.3.61? Does 4.2.19 have every fix in v3 that 4.3.61 has? I was confused it says that bug fixes and performance issues from 4.3 have been backported, but how far back? Which version would be better for me to be on?

  1. I don’t know if that exact version is the latest. But it’s pretty close in any case.
  2. 4.3.61 in general has more fixes than 4.2.19. But there are a few features from 4.3.62+ that have been backported to 4.2.19. I would say that 4.3.61 is probably the better version for you.
