and what does the green mean?
the ground is flat so i dont understand why there would even be a difference?

Those just indicate different connected components of the graph (i.e each color represents a number of nodes that all have valid paths between each other). The particular color is not important. You can change the coloring under A* Inspector -> Settings -> Debug -> Graph Coloring Mode.
