Sorry to ask such a basic question. I downloaded the beta pro file, extracted it, but cannot seem to open it in Unity. I know there is a section on upgrading in the documentation but, to be honest, I find it quite confusing. How do you use the downloaded file to upgrade the project?

You should be able to simply double click it to open it in Unity.
If not, go to Assets -> Import Package -> Custom Package.
Make sure that the file you have is a unityPackage file. I know some decompressors sometimes try to decompress the unitypackage as well into a folder (since it is essentially a zip file itself).

Thank you. It’s fine now. I was trying to import using the ‘import new asset’ option before.
