Help With Diagonal Movement

My movement script is basically set up like the “write your own movement” script that is within the documentation, the only real difference is I snap to the nodes within the grid (as seen on the gif). My question primarily is, how do I handle having the path check if I can move between these 2 walls diagonally vs walking around them?
