Valid Tags resetting on Unity restart

I have a seeker on one of my characters prefabs, I change the Valid Tags layermask in the editor to uncheck one of the options, it all works well. When I save scene, save project, close Unity, start up Unity again the Valid Tags is set to Everything again.

Any ideas?

Also is it possible to alter Valid Tags during runtime? I couldn’t find the attribute in the class.

It seem the editor script doesn’t properly mark the object as dirty after changing that. Try to edit some other setting as well and it will probably be saved.
