Pathfinder, creating path on top of my characters

Hi, I’m sorry if this is a dumb question. When I scan, pathfinder also creates a graph over my character objects. How do you make them ignore my character objects?

This depends on the graph type. Generally you want to make sure you characters are in a separate layer and then make sure the graph settings exclude that layer.
